Tim LaMonte
Hitting and Athlete Development
Tim LaMonte brings more than 25 years of experience in baseball, coaching, and athlete development. His career includes multiple years in professional baseball, including two years in Major League Baseball.
Tim continues to work as a private hitting and performance consultant with a select group of MLB, Minor League Baseball, and high-level college players. That experience at the highest levels of the game shapes his understanding of what athletes need throughout the development process.
Tim believes effective coaching begins with understanding the individual. Rather than forcing every hitter into one system, he considers how each athlete moves, processes information, competes, and learns. His approach emphasizes purposeful training, clear communication, and long-term growth while preserving the qualities that make each athlete successful.
For Tim, success is not limited to statistics or performance on the field. The ultimate goal is to help athletes become confident competitors, capable leaders, and resilient young people.
Matt Miller
Pitching and Throwing Development
Matt Miller brings professional baseball experience, including time in independent baseball, along with more than 10 years of coaching and athlete-development experience. His continued involvement with Baseball USA has further contributed to his understanding of the game and the development needs of young players.
Matt leads the pitching and throwing-development side of the program. His approach centers on consistent, age-appropriate progression designed to help each athlete improve movement quality, skill, confidence, and their understanding of the development process.
He recognizes that throwing athletes develop at different rates and require individualized guidance. His coaching provides athletes with a structured environment where they can train intentionally, learn from challenges, and build a foundation for continued growth.
Matt is committed to helping young athletes develop responsibly while learning the discipline, accountability, and perseverance that extend far beyond baseball.
Experience at Every Stage
Together, Tim and Matt have experienced player development from its earliest stages to some of the biggest stages in baseball.
They have worked with young athletes learning foundational skills, developing middle-school and high-school players, college athletes preparing for higher levels, and professionals competing at the highest levels of the game.
That range of experience provides a valuable perspective: long-term development cannot be rushed, and no two athletes follow exactly the same path. Young players need appropriate instruction, consistent opportunities, and coaches who understand both where they are today and what they may need tomorrow.
A Shared Vision
Tim and Matt share a development philosophy built around the athlete—not rankings, early labels, or short-term tournament results.
Through the Performance Blueprint Academy, they have created an environment where athletes receive individualized coaching, consistent training, and a pathway designed for long-term development. Performance Blueprint Foundation extends that mission by helping make those opportunities available to athletes and families who might otherwise be unable to access them.
The objective is bigger than developing better baseball and softball players. It is about using sports to build confidence, discipline, leadership, accountability, and a lasting belief in what young people can accomplish.
